RV Road trip Days 8&9: Missoula

Day 8 (Friday) was mostly an errand day and I didn’t bother to take photos. Here were the errands

  1. Go to the Cruise America location in Lolo, MT to see if they can fix the black water tank. They ran hot water through it, which didn’t fix it. They didn’t have capacity to get under and take apart the valve system while we waited so we said thanks and left.
  2. Do laundry! We went to the Green Hanger which has wifi and seating as well as the normal things you’d expect at a laundromat. If I ever need a laundromat in Missoula again, I’ll come here. I wonder if that will ever happen …
  3. Use the internet. We did some of that in the laundromat but then moved to the coffee shop next door, Drum Coffee so we could both transfer photos and I initiated a surgical strike on my work inbox (side note: perhaps I’m on too many listservs)
  4. Go to a grocery store. There is an Albertson’s directly across the street so in we went for almond milk (the smaller containers you don’t have to refrigerate until they’re open) and paper towels.
  5. And of course the daily tank emptying and filling.

Day 9 is today. It’s hot still but we braved a short hike this morning to the big “L” on a hill above the town.

We then headed to The Garden of One Thousand Buddhas. I did not count the Buddhas so I can’t confirm that there are 1,000 of them but I did walk clockwise on the suggested route.

Some of the 1000 Buddhas

We are now at Liquid Planet Grille having eaten our first meal “out” on the trip so far and enjoying AC and wifi.
